Easter happenings of 2011

Easter celebrations began the weekend of Palm Sunday,
when the Rahn's had us over
for a little egg hunting,


due to this icky spring weather,
the hunt was moved indoors...
and carried out in shifts.

(got increasingly easier as the age groups regressed :)

Then last weekend we celebrated Easter at Noni/Papa's
for a little family picture time





and lots of outdoor activities....

including, more egg hunting
true Noni-style (with hand-drawn clues/maps and all)

and the "great reveal"!

while the big boys were off riding on the "big wheels"....

Hannah and Elijah took advantage of uninterrupted "little wheels" time.

that is...until Hannah realized what she was missing....

and then there was no stopping her!

and they were just endless this afternoon!)

Elijah, after getting frustrated with his lack of turn-sharing
decided he'd get the upper hand and get to ride
the "real deal" with Papa!

Not only was it a beautiful, sunny day -
but the real gift of Easter,
celebrating the miracle of Jesus' death/resurrection...
was unmatched!!!

Christ the Lord is Risen...
He is risen indeed!!!!
