My 1st Easter Egg Hunt

I partook in my very first Easter egg hunt! What a blast! I was so excited,
along with all my cousins...

that I could barely contain my excitement. As I ran after my older cousins (who were much much faster and "experienced" in this sort of thing)....

I could barely keep my little legs running fast enough as I overflowed with excitement and squealed "THIS IS FUN!"

how's this for a face of determination?

I was very content after finding one or two and my young-mind got easily distracted with all of Papa's fun gadgets in the yard. I quickly stated "I'm done" and continued to explore Papa's machinery. Thanks to cousin Avery, I discovered a few "extra" eggs in my basket when the hunt was all said and done. Not sure the others even noticed, as their baskets were overflowing with sugar-filled eggs :-)

I think there were actually eggs hidden in here, but I wasn't too motivated..Here we are having a bonding clean-up moment after all our fun outdoor adventures.
Thanks Papa!

photo follies

We decided to take the kids for a photo-op, since it had been at least 12 months since I braved it the last time....

We thought we'd share the entertaining version of pics with you, as Noah got real real comfortable with PJ, our photographer, and starting hamming it up pretty good...

Mixed in with a few sweet ones as well...

and then there came the point where Noah had just plain, well, had enough....

playtime

today we had some great family moments...
.just a normal day, after lunch/before nap time, where we are able to catch some great laughs
and just time spent together.
Thank you Jesus for moms, dads, brothers, sisters...
Family!

Daddy comes home from work and it is time for some serious play!
Gotta love 1/2-day Fridays!!!

Hannah's getting good at the on-cue smile.... all you gotta do is "say cheese"....

we are very blessed!

this one's for Papa Ike

Mommy and Daddy under-estimated my talent for being an under-study. I have watched my Papa Ike very closely! Take a closer look Papa Ike (click on this picture and watch it enlarge). Pretty impressive huh? You can't even tell there is pizza underneath all that cheese!

(a.k.a. lesson learned by mommy and daddy....
don't set the parmesan cheese near me and turn your back :-) hee hee)

Belly talk....

There seems to be a lot of talk about bellies lately...
so, here we are, showing off our bellies a little.

We are starting to get eager for spring....and eager for June!

I've got wheels....

I've had this super duper bike in my winter all weekend....just waiting for nicer weather so I could get out and ride it.... well, here is the first outing!

My first outing consisted of me standing over the bike and walking or running while holding on to the handle bars... mommy kept trying to get me to sit and "glide" but I didn't think I liked that
sensation..

But NOW.... I've gone about 5 or 6 times and I just zoom, zoom, zoom!
I even took it down to Noni and Papa's this weekend and gave Drew a ride!

We're going to have LOTS of fun this summer... I just know it!
And mom's right - this helmet really does make me go faster!
I have some work to do with staying on the "safety line", but..
I'm a fast learner, I'll get it!

Thanks Mimi and Papa! It was worth the wait!
(got it in April for my birthday last year, but I wasn't tall enough....
there's nothing stopping me now!)

The Plunge!

We did it... we are now proud owners of a van!

(a.k.a. "sweet ride" - terminology of daddy,
who has been told mini-vans just have a bad ring to it,
now matter how you spin it :-)

I absolutely ADORE it! Mom mistakenly (quite often) says -
"I'm putting this in the car"... OR.... "Let's hop in the car" ...
but I oh-so-quickly remind her and say,
"MOM....it's a VAN!"

I'm not even pesty with the movie requests...mommy told me they are just for
just the "long trips". I do ask her though just about every time we get in -
"Mom, is this a long-trip or a short-trip?"

parental abuse

Hannah no longer tolerates just standing by while daddy and I rough house. Poor daddy.... I think he's exhausted!
but it sure is fun....

My most frequent phrase this week is "Hannah, come chase me...."

Mommy's hoping we get a lot better at playing together, so we can keep each other busy come June. As of right now, I think our play requires more refereeing than benefit for mommy.
Some day... (maybe?)

Trucks, Hats and Books....

Just a few pics of our most recent activities....
I got this cool new truck (one of my potty training celebration picks)

which, of course, Hannah has to "share" with me.
I'm really not too sure about sharing everything....
she's always messing with my stuff!

It's actually quite amazing mom got a picture off in time to capture this pic with Hannah in a hat. She is very quick to remove anything on her head...
hats, barretts, and pony tails.
Me, on the other hand.... feel quite comfy in my hat.
I actually request a "chefs hat" everytime I help mommy in the kitchen.
(doesn't "C" stand for Chef?)

and story-time...
something that usually involves fighting over mommy or daddy's lap.

so very refreshing for mommy to capture a moment of them, independently!,
sharing a story-time.

(which, actually started out as Hannah's self-selected quite time....
and I'm always looking to be right at her heels!
Maybe that's what mommy means about me needing to be more independent?)

Little Miss Hannah - "A league all of her own"

Hannah's got the most variable hair! Anywhere from fresh curls out of the bath - to "wild child" after she pulls her pony tails out...

Hannah also has a personality that matches her hair! She will be one that we can never figure out :-)

Reflective.

Coy.destructive.
(this girl can take apart a room faster than a tornado!)
