This week has been filled with fun-holiday-festivities....

beginning with a little dance program at a nearby nursing home -
(our lil reindeer)
who has impressed us as she gets more comfortable
the more she performs in front of others

finished belting out a few Christmas carols.

Next up - preschool holiday sing-a-long.

Elijah has become a great supporter of his brother and sister,
sitting through yet another performance and cheering them on!

including a fun surprise visit from Santa!
(took Elijah about 5 secs to be up and in front, alongside Santa)

(Hannah and her buddy Wesley showing off their gifts)

Even Elijah got included in the gift/book giving this year!

Thank you Santa (Mommy!)
Finishing off in true holiday style - with more sweets!!!
(detox starts next week in our house)

Tonight we finally put our words to action....
Elijah got his big-boy bed!
(only 15 months later than we did with big-bro)

he kept telling noni, papa and mimi that he gets "a whole one"....

This was the "sleepy" look before bed (made mommy very nervous),
but only one trip out and now truly sound asleep.

Nite nite sweet Elijah!

in the big leagues now...

This past week mommy and daddy came
to my first-ever-Christmas music concert at school!

Here are some cute pics with me and some of my classmates/friends,
as we stood on stage and performed about 4 numbers.

Mommy was delighted
to see that I was placed in the front row...
great photo ops :)

(a little less delighted to see that my neatly tucked-in shirt was no longer)

Have a feeling we are going to be looking back
at these pics some day and pointing out
when these first little friendships started!

Mercy holiday party

Another tradition each Christmas season
is to attend a holiday party put on by Mommy's work (Mercy)

they really go out,
with Christmas coloring stations

cookie personalization stations

making reindeer food

holiday tattoos

and of course a visit/picture with Santa!

This year great strides of progress were made -
NO BALDRY TEARS :)
as we sat with Santa

Headed back home...dreaming of elves, reindeers, and sleighs :)

holiday house prep

It has become tradition in our house
to begin our Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving.

This year the weather was a little wetter than desired,
but little hearts were set on our tree hunt....
so off we went!

While tree dried out,
the boys set out to hand-make the Christmas star...
(Elijah's 1st arts/craft project....he was all over it!)
closely studying his older brother as he set to work...

nativity sets were assembled...
stockings hung...

(nothing brings in the Christmas cheer like our spider man costume :)

Mommy sat back and soaked in all the sweet moments,
knowing that it will only be a matter of time
before these little people grow into big people and well,
just enjoyed the energy that filled the house.
