All in a days work...

Yesterday we were blessed with an 80 degree day and lots of very very helpful
friends and family to help daddy "begin" to assemble
our new play set for the backyard.

We started out by the garage,
where daddy had carefully laid out and accounted for all the materials.

We started out by the garage,
where daddy had carefully laid out and accounted for all the materials.

Things started to get a little "big" and the boys decided to move the project to the backyard (after hours of the ladies suggesting it be a good idea to move it back b4 it got too big)I invited my friends over too and we all "pitched in" to help things move along!

It wasn't long (well, that's really an understatement, b/c it seemed like we had to be patient a very very long time....) and they boys were connecting the pieces...Ok...so I have to pause here and give a disclaimer. These pictures just don't do justice for how hard and determined our daddy's, friends, and papa (and his friends) worked. Just about 12 HOURS of work went into this....all in one day.

So, needless to say, we all had to find something else to distract ourselves with while anxiously waiting the final okay to jump on board and play...

So, while the men worked (and worked hard....) we found lots of things to do....

including soaking up a little sunshine

Making sweet with our new little
friends...

and filling the back yard with lots of bubble action.

The endless fun of water! Everyone was soaked by the time the night was over!
(Hannah has no problem getting in there with all the boys!)

Of course, the lawn needed a little attention too....
if it was going to be displaying this big new playset.

and all hard workers need to be fed....

so we picnic'd in style on our picnic table...

and then, FINALLY, we got the ok....
it was in working order (just missing a few last minute parts)...
and we jumped on and test-drove it...

playing a little imaginary "ice cream shop"...

Eventually night time came (much later than our usual bed-time)
and we had to say good bye to our friends
and go to sleep.....

BUT.... this morning we got to wake up to a backyard full of fun!

Our excitement is pretty much summed up in these smiles!

(and it probably doesn't surprise you that today we are currently taking a three hour nap! while mommy works for three hours getting all these pictures edited and posted)

Memorial day weekend

Not too many pics to post from this past weekend..but we had a BEAUTIFUL weekend of sunshine and just lots of family time, with no where in particular to go.... it was the best!

We have a new gardener....
(he takes his job very seriously)

and some sweet cuddlin at night time - a great end to a great day!

Hannah has taken a great liking to all dollies, stuffed animal friends, etc.
Anything she can fit a diaper onto.

Hannah updates

Now that Hannah is 18 months old, she has become an incredible playmate for me, but I can't compare to the affection she has for Bridger.

Even Bridger gets a good-night hug b4 bedtime...
I think she'd actually let her sleep in her crib if mommy and daddy would agree to it.

I think this bond will come in handy when mommy is busy with a new baby...
Hannah's a great little sister and I just know she's going to fit perfectly in her
soon-to-be-new-role as a big sister!

recent days, weeks

Mommy is super super tired these days and has been short on motivation for updating blog pics. So, please forgive her for the lack of commentary that accompany these most recent pics...

Here is mommy's secret/coping strategies for the last month of pregnancy....
parks and playdates...

Moving Hannah into her "new room" (a.k.a. OUR shared room now..... big stuff, I know. Mommy still hasn't made the final decision about how well this is working out....)

(a little too much fun sharing rooms....
hard to keep them sleeping - both at night and early hours of the morning).
And sweet moments with daddy
(who is much less over-emotional and neurotic than mommy right now)

We'll keep you posted on the upcoming arrival of our new family member...for mommy's sake, hopefully sooner than later.

Baldry Day Care

We have to start off with a huge KUDOS to Lorrie, our daycare lady.... We always knew she was AMAZING, but we now have a whole new perspective of her super-powers. This week mommy has attempted to "substitute" for her skilled services and watch some of my friends during the day (b/c Lorrie just had a baby and is taking time off, and rightfully so....) and all I can say is - "it's fun to watch mommy dance and try to keep up with us all. Truth be told, Noni has come to our rescue and is helping out too.... let's be real - mommy couldn't do it all by herself!

here are some fun pictures of us having fun....

Hannah's first dance

Hannah had her "1st dance" today with "the boy next door"....

I know what you're thinking...she's a little young,

but I assure you she was fully chaperoned...

In reference to "the spins"....

I promise it was only juice they had for lunch....
