recap of our visit with Mimi/Papa

Let the adjustment phase begin!

(and let me note, I'm not very good at adjusting!)

Mimi and Papa just left, after spending
10 fun-filled days with us...

I am missing them something terrible
since they left yesterday...
periodically breaking down into tears,
asking for their return :(

But....looking back at some of our adventures helps,
so we thought we'd share some pics with you all!

Our celebration of earth day.....
a beautiful hike in good old Fort Atkinson!

No better way to end the day than the great outdoors

(and to be honest...
we did head to Frosty Freeze
after the hike,
so....I guess there is one better way :)

Last night we had friends and family come join us
for some yummy food,
a little outdoor fun (kinda chilly/rainy),

and cake/presents!


so, as many of you know....
the birthday cake is really where my heart is :)
Mommy tried her best to make it extra special
with this buzz lightyear car cake...

thanks Mom!

the cake was accompanied
by some rockin' toy story toys/accessories
along withway too too much other fun stuff

(ok, so mom interjected some of her feelings on the matter into this post :)

even presents from MT made it to the party!

HRS (Huffy Rocket Skills)

So I'm out in the garage, tip-toeing around on my bike that has been newly stripped of its training wheels, waiting patiently for the hour when Dad promised me he would take me to the long/straight bike trail to learn how to actually ride my stripped down ride; when a neighbor appears and I politely give a wave, only to realize I'm pointed down the driveway and gravity is still in effect. A quick shimmy and recovery, followed by my feet finding the pedals, I turn back up the driveway and start pumping. . . .the rest is history. Check it out. . .
