Bye Bye Papa and Mimi

Today is a sad world in my eyes.... my Mimi and Papa had to head home today. There are many reasons for my sadness.

#1 - I am losing my dancing partner

#2 - Hannah and I won't have Papa's truck to play in anymore :-(

and #3 - I no longer have as big of an audience for all my gyrations! I love my Papa and Mimi very very much and miss them already.

Here is one final picture of me saying goodbye to my red-hooded friend....

Birthday park fun

On my big day Papa Ike, Mimi and Daddy took me to the park where I got to bounce on the bridge,
Go down the slide...

and soak up some sun. A full day of fun (again).

Happy Birthday - I'm (TWWOoooo)

Mimi and Papa drove out from Montana to celebrate my 2nd birthday. Let's just say I'm starting early with learning to have a "birthday week".... we have had so much fun, almost more fun than a new-2 year old can handle!

These pictures are from my birthday party on Sunday... what more could a 2 year old dream of than a day (followed by another day) of everyone celebrating ME!

My Noni is super talented and made me this totally awesome firetruck cake. It pretty much came with all the bells and whistles (only thing missin' was the siren...now THAT would have been impressive)! Thanks Noni (and Papa - I know you were a very important supervisor)

My Papa Ike and Mimi surprised me with this ultra-cool "Bi-sss"
my feet ALMOST touch the ground! I can't wait to get out and ride it on the bike trail this summer. Thanks Mimi and Papa!
(thanks for the soccer ball and net Papa Tom and Noni!)
Mommy and Daddy thought I'd like this new chair of my very own (as I say it... "MINE"), and they were right! I am a natural when it comes to veggin' out on my chair!
God even blessed us with a great sunny 70 degree day, so we played outside in the yard. My cousin, Drew, and I ran and ran and ran! I love this sunshine stuff! Here's a picture of Papa Ike, Hannah and I coolin' in the shade (that's where Papa likes it best)
Hannah turned out to be quite the party girl as well! She is really into her toes lately... kinda gross if you ask me... but she sure loves it!

Brother Bede was able to come up from Chicago to celebrate with us and see Mimi and Papa Ike while they were in town. He and Hannah hit it off well - she just smiles and giggles when he is holding her.

This tent isn't new, but Daddy and I sure had fun playing in it. Now that our basement is done (for the most part) I get to have fun toys like this to play in. Mommy LOVES having toys down there... it's werid, when they were upstairs she called them "clutter" instead of toys...

As promised from a previous blog entry... here is proof of Hannah-banana sitting up all by herself. She was real intrigued by Hailey.

AND that wraps up my birthday party! Just wait til you see the pics from my actual birthday!

Hannah and Papa Tom

Hannah has this great smile, and Papa had lots of fun bringing it out!

birthday haircut

Mommy thought it was a good idea to get some hair(s) trimmed before my big birthday weekend. I am starting to warm-up to the whole scissors by my ear thing

Besides... I really like the fact that I get to wear a big black cape!

Hannah updates: 5 months old

My sister has made leaps and bounds since last time mommy wrote. She likes to play with my farm puzzle...

She has officially beaten my record of sitting up (by about 3-4 weeks)

(I know... this doesn't count in the chair - but I know mommy has a picture somewhere.... stay tuned)

Mommy puts Hannah in this carrying contraption and so I thought I'd give it a shot... I think Rufus enjoyed the ride!

mid-April catch up

Mommy has been real busy lately so she apologizes to all my faithful viewers for the lack of pictures lately! We'll try to catch you up with a few posts.

Spring is here... so we've been trying to get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Daddy and mommy took me to the park so I could go on the "lide"... it was Hannah's first trip to the park. I think she liked it!

Mommy and daddy can't believe how much I've progressed since our park days last fall... I like to do everything on my own (which I firmly tell them "mine") ... such as -

climbing the jungle gym,

going down the slide,

and playing with the new friends I met at the park.

I am going to try and convince (more like beg) my mommy and daddy to take me to the park as MANY TIMES as I can this summer! Maybe if I show them how much I LOVE IT... they'll get me a "lide" for my backyard next year!

New discoveries

Today was a day of discoveries ... Noah's creative/"nosey" mind could not be quieted today. Every time I turned he was getting into new things and trying on new discoveries...

(this was found in Hannah's top drawer)

(these in the hallway closet)

So we took that little energy outside while Hannah was napping - discovering the new flowers growing (not ready to give up the shovel yet for the season, so we used it as best we could in the garden... hopefully GiGi doesn't cringe :-)

Bridger got in a little of the sunshine as well.

Go Papa Go

Papa had to go to the docta (doctor) to get an owie this week (and I can tell you that and show you where if you ask)

He had hip surgery in Madison and I really miss him. Mommy helped me make a sign for Papa to let him know how much we love him and are praying for him. Papa - I colored on the back all by myself!

LOVE YOU PAPA

spring is ALlllllllllmost here!

Does it count if the sun is shining and the snow is melting? Mommy says it doesn't really count as spring until we don't have to wear our hats outside!

But.... I think we're headed in the right direction - I've gotten to go on 3 walks in the past week or so and am in love with the outdoors! After over an hour of being in the fresh air and I still have a hard time being convinced to come inside!

But... once I'm back inside I realize how fun it is to play with my sister Hannah,

(Hannah's new favorite activity - playing and chewing on her toes)

watch a little March Madness,

and just veg-out after a long day of play...

cousin Kate

Cousin Kate came to visit us on her spring break...

Smiles all around - we had fun!
Come back soon..
