About three weeks ago now we ventured off
with our good friends and neighbors
for a camping adventure/experience....

(even Bridger came along!)


Sun was out and shining as we arrived;
so the boys started to set up shop
(Noah took this very seriously)

next step...lesson 101 in camping tools/knives :)

next up - our first campfire eating experience!

Elijah assisted Lucy in her get-up...

while the boys got the fire going
and hot dog sticks stacked....

Can't really go wrong with hotdogs....

After dinner we thought we'd explore the grounds...

little playground...

A little less fortunate the next morning...

here we are "sitting it out"
as a thunderstorm rolled through.

but then again, what's camping
without a little adversity in the weather?

just took a little extra in-tent activity time
to let nature dry out a little bit....

and then the sun was back....

and we headed to the beach!!!!!!!!

took a little picnic lunch break....

and then headed back in for more water fun!

which included a beautiful tour of Yellowstone lake,
by kayak....


After 5 HOURS of lake fun, it was time to head back to camp
and get some food in our tummies.
Dinner was yummy, but nearly as fun as what came next....
