These next group of pictures are quite deceiving. We headed up to Greenough lake (near Red Lodge, MT) for a hiking/fishing/camping adventure....
but only got in a picnic and a short exploration hike before storms settled in
and we were chased around Red Lodge by thunderstorms.
Glad I had my camera out for the first 45 minutes of the day :)
Started with a quick fuel-up (i.e. sandwiches and fruit)
followed by a relatively short hike...

as the kids attempted to attract fish with some nearby left-over stash of corn.

but, in reality....we were home (back in Billings)6 short hours later,
cooking dinner and roasting marshmallows
back at Brett and Darcee's :)
there's always next year (I've been promised!)
