Bringin' in the new year...

with the Fjosne's!

We have had a weekend of winter fun!

Still no introductions to an actual "sledding hill",
BUT, for now, the backyard has been ample entertainment.

Hannah took much more comfort standing on the sidelines...

close to her buddy, Mindy.

They were fully entertained my daddy and Mr. Chris as they
reverted back to their childhood...as we all then witnessed -

This morning mommy/daddy and Chris/Mindy
headed for a cross-country skiing adventure.

Mommy and Mindy had never gone before....
but were getting the hang of it by the end.

a sense of accomplishment (and many, MANY bruises and sore bones)

As soon as they arrived home we packed up
and headed for our first experience at the ice rink!

We were all smiles as we waited in line to get our skates.

Like most things... Hannah was hesitant once we got inside the rink....
but after a little observing -

and practice....

she was smilin away.

I think I was a bit surprised at how difficult ice skating was,
since I've been begging for forever to go.....

but, it's a good sign to be smiling when down on the ice too....

We ALL are dragging a bit as we round the corner to Sunday.....

good times with good friends - just can't beat it!
